The Group provides a range of support, advice and analysis services across ASIC.Finance provides strategic oversight of ASIC''s financial resources and associated reporting and compliance activities. Finance Business Partnering Team is responsible for building trusted partnerships with stakeholders across the organisation and providing timely reporting and insights.The roleAs a manager, you will oversee the monthly financial management of budgets, forecasts and reporting processes, consulting with your team on strategies to manage budget anomalies or risks.You will support the team and stakeholders in the education and implementation of TechnologyOne, provide proactive and ad hoc financial reporting advice to senior executives and line managers, and undertake continuous process improvement to ensure service delivery meets business plan outcomes. Additionally, you will provide coaching and guidance to team members.About YouTo thrive in this role, you should have a qualification in Business, Commerce or Finance, along with a CPA or CA qualification. Previous experience in leading a finance business partnering team is highly desirable. You should have a strong background in providing financial advice, analysis, guidance and interpretation to line managers. Additionally, experience in managing a team, including coaching for development, monitoring workflows, providing strategic direction, and setting stretch targets is crucial. Analytical skills with the ability to organise, analyse, and disseminate financial information with strong attention to detail and accuracy are required.You should have experience in preparing management reports, annual budgets and mid-year reviews using Excel and financial management accounting systems in government. Stakeholder management experience including building and developing productive relationships and networks, is necessary. Strong business writing and verbal communication skills are essential for presenting complex information to different audiences.
