It consists of the President of the Legislative Council, the Speaker of the House of Assembly and two Members from each House. The JPSC is responsible for the administration of the Joint Parliamentary Service (JPS) Divisions such as the Parliamentary Library Division, the Catering Division, Hansard, and the Joint Services Division (including Parliamentary Network Support Group, People and Culture, Finance and Building Services).The Building Services Section is responsible for the maintenance of a safe and secure environment of Members of Parliament, staff, and visitors by providing high quality accommodation, gardens and operational infrastructure while ensuring the conservation of the heritage values of parliamentary buildings.About The RoleThe Building Attendant is accountable to the Building Services Manager through the Senior Building Attendant for providing a broad range of general services around the needs of the South Australian parliamentary buildings and staff, this includes:conducting routine and ad hoc maintenance services,waste recycling, the ingress and egress of all goods through the loading bay,assisting contractors and tradespersons, andthe provision of relief for switchboard.Special ConditionsEmployment is dependent upon the completion of a Pre-Employment Declaration and a National Police Certificate clearance that the Parliament finds satisfactory.Successful applicants will be provided further information if an interview is requested.A current Drivers Licence is essential.The incumbent will be required to work on one of three rotating shifts: 6.30am 3.00pm, 9.00am - 5.30pm and 11.00am 7.30pm.It is a requirement that on sitting days the afternoon shift remains on duty until a minimum of 9.30pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a minimum of 7.30pm on Thursdays.
