We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join The Royal Melbourne Hospital.Food Services Assistant (Part Time 40Hrs Fortnight) 16:30 - 20:30Royal Melbourne HospitalBased at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, Parkville CampusFood Service Assistant Part TimeThe Royal Melbourne is one of Victorias largest hospitals providing a comprehensive range of health services including acute, sub-acute, general, and specialist medical services throughout inpatient and community based facilities. We are also a proud part of the world renowned Melbourne Biomedical Precinct, working in collaboration to advance research for continuous improvement of clinical care.We are looking for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Food Services team.Your OpportunityFood Services interact with staff, patients, relatives and colleagues and their actions and behaviours are guided by patient centred care, unity, and respect. Duties include:Prepare and deliver meals to patientsEnsure a clean kitchen environment is maintainedLiaise with team leaders and ward staffDeliver and return of all trolleys, food items and utensils from kitchen, wards and other areasStripping of all meal trays and separation of components ready for washingOperation of dishwashingAbout YouBasic Food Handling CertificateCompleted Certificate 3 in Health Patient Services, a PSA, PCA certificate or equivalent Certificate 3 in HealthExcellent work ethic, customer service skills, time management skills and the ability to successfully work in a team environmentAbility to safely use cleaning supplies & equipmentParticipate in a roster and work in an allocated area and other areas as requestedBenefits Of Working At RMHA Values based organisation offering great prospects for career diversity and professional advancement, including training and research opportunities, and access to mentorship and leadership programs.Comprehensive Health & Wellbeing Programs, including Employee Assistance Program.Salary packaging options, onsite car parking, close to public transport.All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Criminal History Record Check.
