Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay rangeA$96,000.00/yr - A$107,000.00/yrThe Ear Health Coordinator, Priority Programs position is a Full-Time 12 month fixed position.The Aboriginal Health Council of South Australia Limited (AHCSA) is the peak body representing Aboriginal community-controlled health and substance misuse services in South Australia at state and national levels.Our primary role is to be the health voice for all Aboriginal people in South Australia. We achieve this by advocating for the community and supporting workers through our Member Services with appropriate Aboriginal health programs based on a holistic perspective of health.Broad Purpose of the RoleThe Ear Health Coordinator, Priority Programs position is a Full-Time 12 month fixed position.The Priority Programs, Ear Health Coordinator is responsible for delivering ear and hearing activities to enhance capability and capacity of member services to deliver ear and hearing health services. The role will contribute to the National Agreement on Closing the Gap 2020 (Outcome 4) towards the significant reduction in prevention ear disease and hearing loss of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.The Priority Programs, Ear Health Coordinator works closely with Member Services and primary health clinics to implement best practice in ear health detection, treatment and management for children and young people.The Ear Health Coordinator is accountable to and reports to the Manager, Priority Programs and works in close collaboration with all AHCSA staff, Member Services, health professionals and other key stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesInformation Advice and Advocacy: Providing information and expert guidance on ear and hearing healthProgram Co-design and Development: Coordinating the co-design and development of ear and hearing health services with Member ServicesProgram Implementation: Coordinating the delivery and transition (where appropriate) of the ear and hearing program to operations, for and with Member ServicesStakeholder and Relationship Management: Building and maintaining productive relationships with Member Services and other stakeholdersProgram Evaluation, Monitoring and Reporting: Coordinate and support monitoring and evaluation of ear and hearing program in partnership with Member Services to determine impact within communities and establish improvement strategiesExperience in liaising with and engaging stakeholders in the Aboriginal community-controlled health sector to identify health needs and develop responses through co-designing new projects and initiatives.Experience working in Aboriginal health and analysing Aboriginal health needs and trends, drawing upon a sound knowledge of the complexities and multi-faceted nature of Aboriginal health and wellbeing, and the transgenerational effects of colonisation.Experience liaising with key stakeholders across non-government and government organisations.Experience in community consultation, community development and coordinating and facilitating the establishment of networks.Experience ear and hearing health, drawing upon knowledge of legislation, policies and strategies, including prevention and appropriate treatment.Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or Degree or Diploma in Public health, Primary, Aboriginal Health, or related fieldWhat we offerThe opportunity to join the peak body representing Aboriginal community-controlled health and substance misuse services in South AustraliaA workplace that encourages work/life balanceAn inclusive and diverse workplaceGreat salary package and benefitsGenerous leave provisionsSpecial ConditionsOut of normal hours work may be required.Requires the ability to travel intra-state and interstate, including overnight absences.National Police Certificate is required.Working with Children Screening may be required.A valid Drivers License is required.How to applyTo be considered for the role you are required to submit a Resume and Suitability Statement of no more than 5 pages.The Suitability Statement has to address the Statement of Key Responsibilities of the Job and Person Specification.
