Murphys is seeking the services of a Transport Supervisor at our Regency Park facility Monday to Friday on a full-time basis.Murphys operations include the road distribution and warehousing of general palletised freight, food grade ambient freight, steel, and bulk commodities throughout Australia.The RoleYou will be an experienced Transport Supervisor with a passion for driving performance, upholding safety, compliance, customer-focused delivery of transport operations and mitigating operational risks. This position is responsible for allocating all resources, including equipment, and employees, as well as acting as the focal point for communication between Murphys, customer, employees, and contractors with regard to the performance of the facility. This position encompasses the Regency Park site, workshop functions and other provisional sites from time to time and will be responsible for managing drivers, sub-contractors, workshop, customer and company objectives, contractual obligations and specific adherence to policy and procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and manifest the timely and efficient delivery of freight to ensure DIFOT and cost management targets are achieved.Act as the primary contact for fleet escalations, addressing issues promptly and constructively.Communicate key updates, changes, and initiatives clearly and consistently through toolbox meetings and direct engagement.Ensure all incidents, hazards and non-compliances are reported and corrective actions implemented in a timely manner.Investigate and resolve service and/or operational issues in a timely manner.Coordinate and facilitate smooth onboarding of new staff members, ensuring compliance with procedures and minimising business disruption.Investigate and action business development opportunities.Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and promote a safety-first culture across operations.Demonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance through participation in risk management, audits and work site visits, and discussions with site personnelSupport vehicle compliance through regular maintenance checks and audits.Proven experience and a drive to lead by example in managing teams.About YouBuilds and maintains strong, trust-based relationships.
