WORKS MANAGER (Negotiated Contract 3 5 years)$120,000 $138,300 per year Cash ComponentWORKS MANAGER (Negotiated Contract 3 5 years)SHIRE OF WYALKATCHEMThe Shire of Wyalkatchem is seeking a professional infrastructure manager with highly developed leadership and technical skills to lead the efficient and effective delivery of its works and services.Managing Councils road construction, drainage, infrastructure and parks and gardens programmes, the ideal candidate will be computer literate, possess significant relevant experience and competencies, and be capable of overseeing the purchase and maintenance of new and existing plant and equipment, council buildings and other local government assets.The Works Manager will have highly developed knowledge of relevant standards and practices and be capable of the timely delivery within budgets of Council projects, while contributing to budgeting, procurement, report preparation and the maintenance of a safe workplace.This is an important strategic and operational role and a great career opportunity.Located 194km north-east of Perth, the Shire of Wyalkatchem has an area of 1,595 square kilometres and 792 kms of roads. This agricultural district has all the key services including a district high school, hospital, medical centre, general store, hotel and caf and is centrally located to regional centres Northam and Merredin.A very attractive compensation package will be negotiated with the successful applicant including cash component of up to $138,300 plus 12% superannuation guarantee and up to 5% matching super; unrestricted private use of a motor vehicle, modern unfurnished house at nil rent; a generous utilities and internet allowance; uniform allowance; and support for professional development. This package approximates $194,225.
