Financial AccountantSCHADS 6.1 | Full-Time | $55.73/hour + Salary Packaging | Based in Kingaroy QLDWe are currently recruiting on behalf of a respected not-for-profit organisation in the South Burnett region seeking an experienced and dynamic Team Leader to lead its finance function. This is a full-time, leadership role based in Kingaroy, supporting a diverse portfolio of community services across the region.As the Accounting Team Leader, you will oversee a team of Finance Officers and be responsible for the delivery of core financial functions including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance. You will work closely with the organisation''s executive and program managers to support budget oversight, reporting accuracy, and continuous improvement in financial systems and service outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, mentor and support a high-performing finance teamOversee payroll, accounts, banking, reconciliations, and financial compliancePrepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports including board and audit documentationCollaborate with operational managers to build and monitor budgets and financial forecastsEnsure compliance with funding agreements, FBT, salary packaging and audit standardsDrive process improvement and ensure documentation of finance policies and proceduresCoordinate end-of-month and year-end processes including liaising with external auditorsMaintain oversight of financial systems, digital records and key financial dataIdeal CandidateMinimum 5 years'' experience in finance, business or accounting rolesProven leadership skills with experience managing finance staffAdvanced skills in MYOB or equivalent accounting softwareStrong knowledge of payroll compliance, salary packaging and FBTIntermediate to advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder engagement skillsCPA/CA qualified or working towards (desirable)Previous experience in a community or not-for-profit setting highly regardedThe OfferLevel 6 SCHADS Award - $55.73/hour + super + salary packagingFull-time role (38 hours/week) with flexibility in start/finish times between 6:00am - 8:00pmJoin a purpose-driven organisation delivering critical services across the South BurnettHow to ApplySubmit your CV and a cover letter outlining your relevant experience and interest in the role to: Melissa.Jacquier@twrecruitment.com.auApplications will be reviewed as received.
