Or would you rather have a surf or a walk along the beach before work?The Hastings Macleay Clinical Network staff''s emergency departments in both Port Macquarie and Kempsey. Port Macquarie ED is a regional trauma centre that sees 50,000 presentations per year, with 25 % paediatric presentations. Kempsey ED is a rural department with a high indigenous presentation rate (25%) as well as 25% paediatrics, offering a very different case mix and exposure for doctors. All the staff working in the Hastings Macleay are given shifts at both sites and we believe that this arrangement gives doctors a broader experience, with greater access to a wide range of patients and procedures. Outside of work, the Hastings Macleay is a beautiful place to live and offers the opportunity for a great work life balance.What You''ll Be DoingTo provide quality clinical care and perform patient assessment and clinical examination of patients, both within theEmergency department, and occasionally outside the department (eg MET calls).
