With an average employee tenure of over 13 years, we are committed to developing our people and providing a supportive, long-term work environment.About The RoleWe are seeking a keen and motivated Apprentice Fitter Toolmaker (Fitter & Turner) to join our Aluminium Products Toolroom in Eagle Farm. This is a hands-on, full-time role that supports your completion of a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade over the course of your apprenticeship.As an apprentice, youll gain comprehensive training across a wide range of workshop functions. You will be mentored by experienced tradespeople and will gradually take on more responsibility as your skills and knowledge develop.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in the manufacture and maintenance of extrusion dies, jigs, and fixtures used in aluminium productionSet up and operate CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other workshop equipmentCarry out manual machining, drilling, grinding, and fitting tasksUse a range of precision measuring instruments (e.g. micrometers, verniers) to ensure product accuracyInterpret and work from technical and engineering drawingsPerform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of tools and machineryFollow workplace safety protocols and contribute to a clean, organised work environmentParticipate in structured on-the-job and off-site training as part of your trade qualificationAbout YouPassionate about hands-on work, machinery, and mechanical systemsExcellent attention to detail with a methodical and safety-conscious mindsetStrong mathematical and problem-solving skillsAble to read and interpret technical drawingsTeam player with a willingness to learn and take directionPrevious exposure to a workshop, TAFE program, or mechanical/engineering environment (desirable but not essential)What We OfferA structured and supported pathway to becoming a qualified tradespersonCompetitive EBA apprentice wages (junior and adult rates)Mentoring and guidance from highly skilled Toolmakers and FittersModern, well-equipped toolroom with a focus on innovation and craftsmanshipOpportunities for future employment and progression upon completionFree onsite parking and monthly RDOs for work-life balanceHow To ApplyIf youre ready to kick-start a career in a secure, respected, and rewarding trade, wed love to hear from you.
