Border Express currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced and motivatedCasual Parcel Sorter/Forklift Operator to join the team at ourGold Coast Branch.This position is responsible for the safe and effective movement of freight within the branch.Success in this position will be measured when Delivered In Full On Time (DIFOT) targets are met and, a safe workplace is actively demonstrated. This is a front-line position, which requires a high level of communication, professionalism and customer service to be applied consistently every day.Duties:Undertake safe and effective loading, unloading, movement, restraint and storage of freight as required;Take additional care with freight to ensure there are no damages;Always check load restraint, packaging and the condition of freight before it travels;Report all damages to freight or forklift to your supervisor immediately;Ensure all pallet paperwork and Dangerous Goods paperwork is checked and completed accurately;Ensure that that there are no Dangerous Goods compatibility issues when loading and unloading;Skills and Experience:Experiencein the transport industryMinimum of 2 years'' experience operating a forkliftAbility to adhere to WHS and Safety RegulationsExcellent attitude, a good work ethic and reliabilityA high level of physical fitness and the ability to perform repetitive liftingAbility to work unsupervisedGet to know Border Express:At Border Express we''re committed 100% to providing the very best supply chain services for Australia.
