This role plays a vital part in achieving our development and production targets.POSITION SUMMARYEmployment TypePermanent full-time positionLocationBased at our Gordon Sirdar Gold Mine approximately 55km north-east of Kalgoorlie (NO FIFO).TravelTransportation to and from the worksite is supplied by the company.Roster Hours10.5-hour shifts on a 6:1, 6:8 roster (42-hour week), rotating between day and night shifts.SUMMARY OF ROLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESAs a Truck Operator at our Gordon Sirdar Gold Mine, youll play a vital role in the safe and efficient transportation of ore, waste, and materials across the underground operation. This position requires a strong safety focus, mechanical awareness, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment under variable and low-visibility conditions.Your key responsibilities will include:Operate underground haul trucks to move ore and waste safely.Complete pre-start checks and safety documentation.Coordinate with boggers and loaders for efficient material handling.Follow traffic protocols and communicate via two-way radio.Maintain vehicle cleanliness and assist with basic servicing.General DutiesBe flexible and willing to undertake other underground tasks or labouring duties as directed.Maintain high personal standards of safety, performance, and teamwork.Work to achieve daily production targets in line with operational plans.Participate in emergency drills and site safety meetings.Support backfilling and waste haulage activities.Follow supervisor instructions and shift plans.Equipment, Machinery, Systems & ToolsDigital pre-start, hazard and inspection systems (e.g., iPads, tablets).GPS-based fleet management systems.Fire suppression systems and safety gear (PPE, tag boards).Administrative Documentation & ReportingComplete and submit daily pre-start checklists and shift handover paperwork.Log hours, load counts, and truck cycle data.Record and escalate maintenance issues in defect logs.Participate in shift handovers, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings.Health, Safety, Compliance & CommunicationAdhere to all company policies, environmental standards, and site procedures (including the WHS Act & Regulations).Communicate effectively and complete all required documentation accurately and on time.Conduct routine inspections to identify and control hazards.KEY REQUIREMENTSExperiencePrevious experience as a Truck Operator desirable but not essentialEducation/Qualifications/ LicensesValid Manual C Class Drivers Licence (minimum)Previous experience operating haul trucks in a mining or quarry environmentFamiliarity with site-specific safety standards and environmental policiesHR licence or aboveDangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)Exposure to different types of mobile plant (dozer, loader, water cart)Basic mechanical knowledge of heavy machineryFirst Aid CertificationAbout youReside locally in the Goldfields region of Western Australia (NO FIFO).A can-do, team-oriented attitudeSolid problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet and be adaptableWHAT FMR INVESTMENTS OFFERCompetitive base salary with performance bonusesEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Training, upskilling, and opportunities for internal promotion and career developmentStable, long-term employment with a growing WA mining companyFocused on being a residential community-based operationCONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENTNational Police Clearance issued within 3 months.Legal right to work in Australia.Pass a relevant fitness to work medical including drug and alcohol screening.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in fluent English.RECRUITMENT PROCESSShortlisting will begin immediately, and only candidates selected for interview will be contacted.We are not engaging with Recruitment Agencies at this time; only direct applications will be considered.Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
