Please note this is a volunteer position.The North Australian Festival of Arts is a vibrant celebration of performing arts, featuring a diverse range of performances including circus, theatre, dance, music and more. NAFA relies on volunteers to help the festival team create magic! We are looking for fun, vibrant and dedicated volunteers to help ensure the festival runs smoothly and provides a fantastic experience for all attendees. Volunteering with NAFA is a rare opportunity to get an exclusive peak behind the curtain into event management and the arts industry, to build connections with other arts enthusiasts and give back to your community. There will be opportunities to see shows for free and work closely with artists and industry professionals.Role responsibilities:Welcome festival attendees, assist with directions and answer questionsProvide information about performances and schedulesDistribute festival programs, maps and promotional flyersConduct surveys with festival attendeesAssist artists during performancesAssist with artist transportation (current QLD drivers license required for this responsibility)Assist front of house staff when necessaryRequirements:Driver''s Licence (C)Enthusiasm for performing arts and community eventsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsConfidence to engage effectively with customers and artistsAbility to work well in a team and independentlyFlexibility and willingness to take on different roles as neededReliable and punctualSome shifts may require physical work and heavy lifting, if this is not suitable for you, please inform us in your applicationBenefits:Gain valuable experience in event management and the performing arts industryOpportunity to network with industry professionals and fellow arts enthusiastsAccess to festival performances and eventsVolunteer recognition and appreciationAdditional Requirements:Dates: 19 September 2025 13 October 2025.
