This person will be responsible for providing healthy fresh, diverse and wholesome menus catering for up to 44 children a day, aged 3-5 years, in a long day care centre. They will also provide afternoon tea for the OSHC programThis is a casual position, working 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday. There is every kind of sport here that you could want and we seem to have more festivals, markets and events than most cities.Let''s not forget, Alice Springs is set in the beautiful MacDonnell Ranges which provides many unique opportunities for those who are adventurous.Skills And ExperienceEssential Criteria:Qualifications in food safety and food allergy training;Experience in the preparation of meals and budgets;Be able to work unsupervised and in close proximity with others;Excellent time management skills;Have good knowledge of food allergies, family/cultural preferences;Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;Have a great imagination, creative thinking and can do attitude especially when making healthy food look and taste delicious for young children;First Aid Certificate, including Anaphylaxis and Asthma training (HLTAOD004);NT Working with Children Card or the ability to obtain one;A current driver''s license; and,Be residing in Australia.
