Our ideal incumbent will thrive on building strong rapport with our valuable elders and their families, delivering over and above quality care by supporting their daily care needs, completing vital documentation and being a strong contributor to a passionate team!In a role with plenty of variety, your experience, motivation, flexibility andcollaborative approach to quality service delivery will be highly regarded.Some Of The Key Responsibilities Of The Role IncludeAssisting with bathing, grooming and getting dressedHandling household tasks like grocery shopping and laundryPreparing and serving meals at the appropriate timeAdministering oral and topical medication under the supervision of medical personnelProviding mental and emotional supportMaking recommendations to family members and healthcare personnel on the plan of careOrganising suitable recreational activities for our eldersCollaborating with other health care and social care professionals to provide the best possible careQualificationsMinimum Cert III (Aged Care)Cert IV (Aged Care) highly advantageous but not essentialNursing student working towards Diploma or Bachelors degreeSkillsThe ability to work with frail and/or confused elders and their families within the Accreditation Standards and funding guidelinesThe ability to accept direction and to work in a team environment with minimal supervisionBasic knowledge of the ageing processDemonstrated basic computer skillsRecognise own abilities and level of competenceMedication endorsed highly advantageousTo have a basic knowledge of Work Health and Safety proceduresThe ability or willingness to speak/learn Dutch and an understanding of the Dutch culture and historyThe ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner within an ethno specific environmentTo have a basic knowledge of Work Health and Safety proceduresExperience with a Memory support unit/ Dementia Care/ High Care is preferredWhy work for MiCare?($30.88-$32.40 p/hr depends on skills) + 11.5% SuperannuationSave on tax with generous salary packaging benefits -Novated leasing, general living expenses, regional area benefits, meal entertainment, Holiday Accommodation and Venue hireEmployee wellness portal access great discountsAchieve work life balance - Work close to home in KilsythVery rewarding role supporting the daily living of elders in residential aged careForm professional carer relationships with frail/elderly persons Friendly supportive teamAbout Us ...MiCare is a multicultural organisation serving multicultural Elders.
