Working with hospitality venues worldwide, the brand has gained strong recognition and reputation and on the home front, received the Lord Mayor''s Small Business of the Year 2024.About the RoleLead our coffee program across Mrk''s expanding network of venues, ensuring every cup of coffee reflects our commitment to quality and craftsmanship. Working closely with venue managers and our senior team, you''ll develop coffee standards, train baristas, and create memorable beverage experiences that perfectly complement our world-class chocolate offerings.What You''ll DoLead & Inspire: Manage and mentor barista teams across multiple venues, fostering skill development and passion for coffee craftQuality Assurance: Establish and maintain coffee standards, conducting regular training sessions and quality assessments across all locationsTraining Excellence: Design and deliver comprehensive barista training programs for new team members and ongoing development for existing staffMulti-Venue Coordination: Travel between venues to ensure consistent service standards and provide hands-on support during peak periodsEquipment Management: Oversee coffee equipment maintenance and calibration across all locationsWho We Are Looking ForCoffee Expertise: Minimum 2 years of senior barista or head barista experience in high-volume specialty coffee environmentsLeadership Skills: Proven track record of training, mentoring and managing barista teams with excellent communication abilitiesQuality Obsessed: Deep understanding of coffee extraction, milk texturing, and presentation with commitment to consistent excellenceMulti-Venue Experience: Ability to work across multiple locations with strong organisational and time management skillsBrand Ambassador: Passion for representing Mrk''s values of quality, sustainability and ethical sourcing in every interactionGrowth Mindset: Enthusiasm for continuous learning and sharing knowledge with team members at all levelsWhy Mrk?This is your opportunity to lead coffee excellence within Melbourne''s most established chocolate and hospitality brand.
