Brief DescriptionThe Team Member reports to the Store Manager. This role is classified as Level 1 in the GRA.In the absence of the Store Manager, the Team Member reports to the Long Life and/or Fresh Food Manager.ObjectivesMaximise sales by providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and safe environment, and ensuring a high standard of presentation in all areas.Support and motivate the store team by executing routines and processes to a high standard.Follow directions to maintain store standards.Be a constructive team member within the store.Requirements & ResponsibilitiesEnsure store routines and processes are carried out effectively and accurately.Follow all Schedule/Routine Cards.Assist with the induction and training of new employees and the ongoing development of existing staff.Communicate incidents, damages, operational issues, or suggestions to the Store Manager.Minimise stock losses caused by damages and theft.Support the Store Team in maintaining store standards.Ensure communication of essential information to Department Champions/Duty Managers.Manage stocktake and stock adjustment processes accurately, including receipt of goods and invoice updates.Ensure all equipment is operational, used correctly, and properly maintained.Report pest issues to the Store Manager.Follow all controls, policies, and procedures (e.g., WHS, Employee Handbook, Food Safety, etc.).Adhere to legislative and internal requirements, maintaining proper records and training staff accordingly.Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Store Manager.SummaryAbout UsWe are a family-owned company operating independent supermarkets in the Central West and Riverina areas of New South Wales.
