Our culture is built on a foundation of respect for privacy, choices, and diverse backgrounds, ensuring everyone feels valued and empowered.About the RoleThe Food Service Assistant will be responsible for the safe provision of quality food and beverage services to our residents, ensuring the individual nutritional requirements and preferences of each resident are met.Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Preparation, serving, presentation and delivery of food and beverages in accordance with the Food Safety Program.Ensuring that the correct food and beverages are served to each resident according to their dietary/specialised nutritional requirements.Ensure a high standard of customer service including presenting in a professional manner at all times when interacting with residents during meal services.Ensure a high standard of customer service when interacting with residents, resident representatives, and staff.About youIf you have the following skills and experience, we want to meet you:Hospitality front of house experience - aged care experience desiredAbility to read and interpret dietary informationAbility to comply with safe work practices and food handling practicesA commitment to providing a caring and empathetic service to our residents while respecting their privacy, choices and cultural preferences.A commitment to the principles of Workplace Health & Safety and ensuring a safe environment for residents and staff.The successful applicant will be required to have the following:Willingness to obtain valid Police CheckA current First Aid certificate (desired but not essential)Australian/New Zealand residency or a valid working visaAbout UsNarangba Aged Care is a modern and stylish aged care home where we provide quality care and an engaging lifestyle within a secure and welcoming community.
