**Join Our Board: Make a Difference with Citizen Advocacy Launceston Region Inc.**Citizen Advocacy Launceston Region Inc. is seeking passionate and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Management.As a not-for-profit, community-based organization, we are committed to recognizing, promoting, and protecting the rights and well-being of people with disabilities. Our mission is to foster meaningful, freely-given relationships between caring community members and individuals with intellectual disabilities who may feel vulnerable, isolated, or in need of advocacy.As a Board member, you will help guide our program and ensure we continue making a positive impact.Were looking for individuals who:- Are eager to share their skills, connections, and expertise;- Have experience in Finance, Human Resources, Legal matters, or Board Management;- Can attend monthly Board meetings and contribute to subcommittees or events as needed;- Stay informed about the program by reviewing minutes, reports, and financials, with an understanding of our constitution;- Are excited to promote Citizen Advocacy within the community and spread the word among family, friends, colleagues, and contacts.Due to the nature of this role, Board Members must not have any direct association with disability service provision, as this may create a conflict of interest.If you''re ready to contribute to a meaningful cause and help empower the voices of those who need it most, wed love to hear from you!This is a volunteer role.
