The Team:The team is located at the Cambridge Production Centre working with a team of cooks and food service officers. As a Food Services Officer, youll be part of a dedicated team that plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of patients and staff across Tasmanias public hospitals and health facilities. The team works collaboratively to ensure the safe preparation, handling, and delivery of nutritious meals that meet diverse dietary and clinical needs. With a strong focus on hygiene, efficiency, and teamwork, the Food Services team contributes directly to patient care and recovery in a fast-paced, supportive environment.The Role:As a Food Services Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, ware-washing, and cleaning in a healthcare setting. Your role ensures meals meet dietary, nutritional, and hygiene standards, supporting patient recovery and wellbeing. Youll work as part of a collaborative team, maintaining food safety protocols, operating kitchen equipment, and contributing to a clean and efficient food service environment.You will need:Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practicesAbility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environmentGood communication and time management skillsNote: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Multiple permanent full time, day worker positions, not working weekends but working public holidays, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum.
