Then this is the role for you!About the roleGold Coast Private Hospital is seeking a full time Ward Clerk to work across a diverse role that supports Perioperative Services and plays a vital part in the day-to-day function of our theatres.Key responsibilities include:Welcome and assist patients, visitors, and staff, ensuring a friendly and professional first impressionAnswer phone calls and handle inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and confidentiality, directing them to the appropriate personnel as neededProvide administrative support to the Nurse Unit Manager, including scheduling, correspondence, and coordination of meetingsAssist VMOs (Visiting Medical Officers) with administrative tasks, ensuring smooth operations and patient careAccurately record and maintain patient data, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with hospital policiesAssist with Theatre bookings when required Ability to work as part of a team Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Experience in a hospital administration environment preferred Ability to prioritise and organise work, with minimal supervision Excellent customer service, organisational and communication skills High level attention to detail Flexibility, reliability and ability to work under pressure Excellent time management skills with an ability to work effectively as part of the multidisciplinary team.Excellent interpersonal and communication skillsHave demonstrated ongoing commitment to professional developmentA basic understanding of Medical TerminologyAbout usEstablished in 2016, Gold Coast Private Hospital is a state-of-the-art, 339-bed facility located in the heart of the Gold Coast Precinct in Southport.With 22 operating theatres, Gold Coast Private Hospital offers a wide range of specialties including, but not limited to, 24/7 Emergency Care, Medical Services, Orthopaedics, Bariatrics, Neurosurgery, Plastic Surgery, ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat), General Surgery, Obstetrics, Cardiac Care, and Oncology.Gold Coast Private Hospital is committed to continual growth, providing exciting opportunities and professional career pathways in healthcare.Healthscope, where career means more!No matter where you are at in your career, at Healthscope you can choose your own adventure.
