We are searching for candidates who have superior experience working in customer service with a focus in quick service restaurants, bars and fast-casual dining establishments.RESPONSIBILITIES:Exercise strong customer service and communication skillsAssist with catering/event requestsAssist in the organization and cleanliness of dining, work and storage areasAdhere to proper safety guidelinesAdhere to proper food safety practicesInteract in a professional manner with guests, supervisors, and co-workersComplete opening and closing listsWork with urgency to complete tasksCommunicate menu changes as necessaryPrepare a variety of beverage and food productsWork within different front of house roles and/or outlets as neededMaintain service by properly anticipating our guests'' needsCreate a memorable dining experience by exceeding our guests'' expectationsBasic understanding of beer and wine serviceParticipate in the training of additional Hospitality roles and responsibilitiesPOSITION DETAILS:This is aTEMPORARYposition with SpaceX, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate.LENGTH OF POSITION: 3 months (permanent hire conversion based on performance and business need)LOCATION: Starbase, TXBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:High school diploma or equivalency certificate1+ years of experience in food and/or customer servicePREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:3+ years of food service experienceSelf-motivated and takes initiative in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentPrevious work experience in a high-volume output environmentPrevious work experience in team settingsEffective interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsEffective time management skillsEffective understanding of food safety and sanitation practicesBasic computer skills (Microsoft Office and Outlook primarily)Knowledge of different styles of serviceAbility to work gracefully under pressureAdaptability, problem-solving skills, and extreme attention to detailTeam player with the ability to collaborate effectively, including but not limited to training of incoming team membersADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to carry large heavy items unassisted (up to 25 lbs.)Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, and lifting of objectsAbility to stand for long periods of time - up to 10 hours a dayMust be able to work all shifts and available for overtime, weekends and holiday as neededValid Texas Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain before employmentITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. * 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. * 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
