Job Description

The Team:The Surgical Specialist Clinics at the Royal Hobart Hospital provide specialist surgical assessment and care within the outpatient setting across various surgical disciplines, including key state-wide services. The Clinics focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to improve outcomes for our patients, workforce, and the Tasmanian community.The Role:Maintain a clean, hygienic environment to facilitate infection control, including reprocessing surgical instruments and equipment.Maintain basic ward equipment and order surgical stock and supplies under the guidance of the Nurse Manager.Ensure patient confidentiality.You will need to:Clean, maintain, and sterilise work areas and ward equipment following infection control guidelines.Provide a communication network between departments, including delivery and collection services as required.Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and staff.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria to address in your application.Details of appointment:Permanent full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar vacancies, including full-time, part-time, and casual roles.Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum.
