Full time position for a Tour Guide available in Mena Creek, QLD 4871.SKILLThe role requires you to hold at least a relevant AQF (or equivalent) Certificate III and have at least one year of relevant work experience.REPORTS TODuty Supervisor and Operations Manager.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Tour Guide is responsible for creating memorable visitor experiences by delivering engaging and informative tours of the Parks gardens, waterfalls, and historic architecture. The Tour Guide provides exceptional customer service, shares the parks rich history through interactive commentary, assist guests with specific needs and promotes safety at all times. Tour Guides also support daily operations by managing groups efficiently, maintaining strong team communication, caring for equipment, and upholding the parks high standards and reputation.DUTIESPromote and enhance the parks business interests and reputation by delivering exceptional customer service at all times.Deliver interactive, engaging and safe tours of the park in accordance with established procedures.Provide informative and entertaining commentary on the parks history, features and landmarks, answer guest questions, distribute brochures and translation sheets, present audiovisual content where applicable. Inform guests of safety procedures and visitor facilities.Clearly announce tour departures from the tour deck to ensure all guests are included and accounted for throughout the experience.Welcome, engage and build rapport with guests prior to tour departures to create a friendly and visitor experience.Manage the group to ensure that tours are completed within required timeframes between 30 and 35 minutes.Assist guests with special needs (e.g. parents with strollers and toddlers, vision and hearing-impaired guests etc.).Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and in accordance with procedures.Maintain excellent and up to date knowledge of the park, nearby attractions and services and recommend local activities and attractions to guests when requested.Maintain clear communication with team members regarding tour departures, guest needs and park operations to ensure smooth coordination and support.Prioritise guest safety by identifying and reporting hazards, providing necessary safety aids and coordinating emergency situations in line with procedures.Maintain a professional, collaborative and guest focused approach by building positive relationships, supporting team goals and adhering to workplace standards, policies and legal requirements.Support daily operations by caring for equipment and property, maintaining clean work areas, attending training and performing additional duties as directed.ADDITIONAL SKILLSDisplay a high standard of guest services.Good time management and organisation skills.Attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate confidently with a diverse range of people.Well presented, enthusiastic, positive attitudes, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.Ability to communicate tactfully and courteously with guests and the public.Maintain a flexible approach to work and client requirements with willingness and ability to demonstrate initiative and accept responsibility.Exceptional teamwork skills and ability to work with minimal/no supervision.Ability to follow directions.SALARY$65,000 - $75,000 per annum based on experience.TO APPLYApplications in Word format should be forwarded to us by clicking the Apply button below. #J-18808-Ljbffr
