This is a permanent part-time position at the Glenroy and Fawkner Libraries.As a Library Officer, you will:Help customers from different backgrounds use libraries to borrow library items, help with photocopiers and printing, use our public computers, and find informationHelp promote library programs for all agesRun programs with help from other library staffReturn and shelve library itemsTidy library shelvesHelp maintain library collections in community languagesSkills And Experience Require To Perform The RoleGood teamwork and communication skillsGood time management skillsAbility to provide excellent customer service to a wide range of community membersFlexibility and reliabilityGood problem-solving skillsA current Working with Children CheckDemonstrated understanding of Child safety and wellbeing requirements in a public libraryPriority is given to people who speak a language other than English eg.
