Description We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant VCE Biology Tutors to join our team. You will enhance student learning through direct engagement in Contour classes, personalised 1-on-1 consultations, and ongoing academic support. You will work collaboratively with tutors to ensure students receive the highest quality education and support. This role also offers a development pathway for those aspiring to become tutors. We are offering this role across all our campuses - Melbourne CBD, Glen Waverley, Point Cook, Narre Warren and Box Hill. We run weekly small-group tutoring sessions, presented by young and experienced tutors that teach in a simple, intuitive and engaging way. Opportunity to Tutor Groups Have you ever wanted to do group tutoring but never got the time or students to? Maybe youve been doing one-on-one tutoring so far, and now you want to explore group tutoring? As a VCE Assistant Tutor at Contour, rather than tutoring one student at a time, you can motivate groups of students with your knowledge and experience without the hassle of more admin work and finding students. Access to High-Quality Tutoring Material Youve probably spent hundreds of unpaid hours making tutoring resources for your students. We know it can be time-consuming, and arguably one of the more tedious parts of being a tutor. But thats where we come in! Weve spent thousands of hours creating resources and detailed notes for VCE subjects. All you need to do is prepare for your tutoring sessions by reviewing the class workbooks beforehand and providing an excellent tutoring experience to your students :) Compensation and Benefits Starting from $60+ per 2-hour class (exc. Super) for Assistant Tutors, with opportunities to progress to $90-200 per class based on performance and student numbers. Minimal admin work: just take attendance, manage student emails, and respond to student questions outside class via social media, text, or email. Support & Personal Development: training, feedback, peer-review, and opportunities for growth, perks, and references. Flexible locations across Melbourne suburbs including Point Cook, Narre Warren, Melbourne CBD, Box Hill, and Glen Waverley. Key Responsibilities Class Support (Secondary Tutoring) Assist tutors during classes and support students academic development. Support classroom operations, clarify concepts, and mentor students with study strategies. Student Support Outside the Class Provide personalised 1-on-1 online consultations and respond to queries via messaging platforms. Content & Quality Assurance Proofread and review educational materials, report errors to maintain high quality.
