The unaccredited trainee is the key person who works closely with all members of a multi-disciplinary team and deals with matters of an urgent or sensitive nature, whilst exercising discretion, sensitivity and maintaining confidentiality. All patients managed within the hospitals of the health service are under the direct care of a specialist medical practitioner. All decisions regarding a patients care are to be clearly communicated with the specialist responsible for that care.As a part of your employment contract you may be expected to rotate within the following hospitals:Gosford, Wyong, Royal North Shore, Ryde, Port Macquarie Base, Coffs Harbour and Northern Beaches Hospital. There will also be a network relief term in which cover is provided for a roster which combines the Northern Surgical Skills Network and the Northern SET Network. The relief may include covering SET Trainees at Lismore and Hornsby Hospital and Orthopaedic SRMOs at Childrens Hospital Westmead.Merit SelectionNSW Health follows a merit-based recruitment and selection process as per Policy Directive PD2023_04 Recruitment and Selection of Staff to the NSW Health Service.Candidates will be assessed against the Essential Requirements and Selection Criteria for this position.
