We are committed to producing accessible food, supporting communities, and delivering strong economic results, all while prioritising sustainability to ensure a prosperous, healthy planet for future generations.The role:Join Tassal in Proserpine as a Paddlewheel Technician and play a key role in maintaining our prawn farms paddlewheels to ensure optimal oxygen levels for our prawns. Based in a stunning location halfway between Airlie Beach and Bowen, youll work a 2/2/3 roster (6am6pm), giving you plenty of time to explore the beautiful Whitsundays.Responsibilities:Service and maintain paddlewheels to ensure efficient aeration for prawns.Complete, monitor, and report on paddlewheel inspections as per procedures.Regularly clean paddlewheels to meet operational standards.Follow all safety regulations and procedures while completing tasks.Assist with additional farm duties as required.Role requirements:Ability to lift heavy objects and work in/around water.Aquaculture or agriculture experience (highly desirable but not essential).Basic tech skills (tasks are assigned via iPad).Valid drivers licence (essential).Current rights to work in Australia.Successful completion of pre-employment medical and drug screening.Role offerings:Our seafood isnt the only thing thats growing!
