Add expected salary to your profile for insightsROXY COMMUNITY THEATRE POSITIONS :- FRONT OF HOUSE & VENUE COORDINATOR- TECHNICAL OPERATIONS COORDINATORAfter a $12M redevelopment of Leetons 95-year old Palace of Dreams, the beautiful Roxy Community Theatre is once again open for business. To realise our big, bold vision for performing arts, Leeton Shire Council is seeking to fill two new positions at the Theatre for a two-year, fixed term basis (while future operational and governance arrangements are being explored).The Roxy boasts a main auditorium with 510 seats (180 retractable and 330 fixed in the balcony including dress circle) and a Roxy 2 Theatrette which is due for completion by the end of the year (black box, with 54 retractable seats). The full theatre specs can be found here.Whether youre ready to step up with at least 2 years of experience under the belt, or youre in the twilight of your career and ready to leave a legacy, we are keen to hear from you.The Roxy Community Theatre is blessed with a 65-person strong Dream Team of Volunteers who support day to day operations and are a key part of the Roxys workforce.Both roles are 35 hours per week with one rostered day off per month and will require flexibility in relation to the hours of work, including weekday, evening and weekend work, along with the ability to undertake extensive manual handling.POSITION 1: TECHNICAL OPERATIONS COORDINATORPrimary purpose of the role is to:Deliver all production and technical services, including but not limited to back of house, for events at the Roxy to an excellent and safe standard, and high level of client/customer satisfaction.Oversee WHS processes and procedures, including but not limited to back of house, in order to ensure safety for workers, hirers, artists, patrons and visitors.Develop production and maintenance schedules for the Roxy Theatre.Qualifications/Licences/ExperienceDiploma or Degree level qualifications in Theatre Technical services (sound / lighting) with at least 2 years experience in theatre or event technical operations (or extensive, demonstrated experience in a similar role).Current First Aid Certificate and current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).Current credentials to work at heights and undertake electrical testing and tagging (or willingness to obtain).Current Class C Driving licence.Salary RangeGrade 12 to Grade 15 ($79,391 pa to $104,393 pa) dependent on skills and experiencePOSITION 2: FRONT OF HOUSE & VENUE COORDINATORPrimary purpose of the role is to:Oversee / coordinate the day to day operations of the Roxy Theatre, providing exciting, memorable and diverse programming that meets community expectations and grows audiences.Lead front of house services and ticketing, ensuring high levels of customer service and efficiency while ensuring the comfort and safety of audiences, patrons, workers and performers.Host and deliver interesting and engaging tours of the facility to visitors wishing to learn about and celebrate the Roxys rich history and modern functionality.Support, nurture and guide an active volunteer workforce.Qualifications/Licences/ExperienceDiploma or degree with at least 2 years experience in leading a team in a busy and complex Theatre, Events or Customer Service environment (or extensive, demonstrated experience in a similar role).Current RSA Competency Card or (or willingness to obtain).Current First Aid Certificate and current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).Current Class C driving licence.Salary RangeGrade 12 to Grade 14 ($79,391 pa to $99,230 pa) dependent on skills and experiencePlease refer to Councils website to review the Position Descriptions, providing details of qualifications/skills/attributes required.Applications close Sunday 27 July 2025, and should be emailed to jobs@leeton.nsw.gov.au or be marked CONFIDENTIAL and addressed to the Human Resources Department, Leeton Shire Council, 23-25 Chelmsford Place, Leeton, NSW, 2705.Unlock job insightsSalary match Number of applicants Skills matchYour application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
