Marie, Ontario.What Youll Be DoingServe food to residents according to individual diets and preferences. Observe time limits for meal serving. Maintain foods at proper serving temperature. Follow basic instructions in preparing simple foods such as breakfast items, basic desserts, and garnishes.Clear plates and trays, load and operate the dishwasher. Clean pots, pans, and cooking utensils as per procedure.Participate in proper storage and labeling of dietary supplies and food, including leftovers.Adhere to established departmental policies and procedures regarding quality assurance, fire safety, environment, and infection control.Assemble nourishment carts and stock units.Participate in facility meetings as assigned and attend in-service education programs.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.What You BringSuccessful completion and/or enrollment in a Food Service Worker Program meeting the requirements of the Fixing the Long-Term Care Act.Current Food Handler''s Certificate.Previous dietary experience preferred in LTC (Long Term Care) Home (0-1 years).Ability to stand for extended periods.Ability to read and write English and understand simple verbal and written instructions.Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.Ability to do moderate to heavy lifting.Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.What Youll GetContinuous mentorship, support for lifelong learning, and growth opportunities.Employee PerksRecognition ProgramsRobust benefits packageExtendicare is a leading provider of care and services for seniors throughout Canada.
