This rewarding role is an opportunity to share your knowledge in control room system operations. You will also contribute to training development, technology updates and other related activities.About the OpportunityThis civilian role, based on Garden Island WA, delivers Collins Class Submarine platform systems operator training at the Royal Australian Navys world class training facility on HMAS Stirling. You will teach classroom and practical scenario simulator classes using a range of specialist equipment before assessing students'' performance. You will also contribute to training development and the introduction of new capability onto the submarine. This is an opportunity for you to share your submarine expertise and use the latest learning technologies to meet our students'' and clients requirements for high quality training. ASC is proud of our 30-year history partnering with Navy and our submarine enterprise partners.ResponsibilitiesTraining delivery in classroom, platform training simulator and virtual environments.Competency assessment of students.Assist with training development and instructional design.Update and maintain own knowledge and skills currency.Provide input into configuration changes and impact assessments.About youKnowledge of submarine Control Room routines.Experience operating Manoeuvring Control Console (MCC) or Diving Safety Consoles (DSC).Role model with confident presentation and communication skills.Collins Class Submariner Qualification.Willingness to undertake Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.Ability to utilise adult learning principles to develop knowledge and skills in others.A strong understanding of security and data handling requirements.EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
