The Clinical Hub Registrar is a clinical role based in the Clinical Hub at the Operations Centre (OpCen) within Kedron Emergency Services Complex. The role provides high level physician advice regarding the clinical aspects of all OpCen activities. Key aspects of the role include clinical risk assessment and stratification, clinical advice to the multidisciplinary team within the clinical hub and on road, along with the provision of direct medical advice to patients and relevant parties requesting QAS care.The Clinical Hub Registrar will work collaboratively with Paramedics, Emergency Medical Dispatchers and the broader QAS organisation. The role will intergrate with the wider healthcare community and emergency services staff to provide high quality, patient centred care to the state of Queensland.We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:Demonstrated high level clinical knowledge and experience managing high and low acuity, as well as complex presentations in different clinical environments.Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills to establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with internal and external clinicians, partners, stakeholders and work groups.The ability to use advanced face to face and virtual communication and interpersonal skills, to work as a member of a team and be able to build professional relationships across multiple disciplines.High level planning and organisational skills to effectively manage time and prioritise workload, with the proven ability to manage stress and maintain performance under pressure, without a negative impact on self or others.Experience in varied hospital placements, community, out-reach, rural and remote, pre-hospital, telehealth or similar role while supporting clinicians of varying disciplines would be beneficial.Ability to support and contribute to a learning environment with emphasis on personal and others'' professional development.Competence in computer-based technology especially navigating through multiple clinical and clerical systems simultaneously.The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:Applicants must hold a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board ofApplicants must be a trainee with appropriate experience and excellent clinical standing of a critical care speciality (e.g. Australasian College for Emergency Medicine) or equivalent qualifications, or other relevant speciality disciplines as deemed appropriate by the Medical Director and QAS Commissioner.Appointments to this position will require proof of qualification/s and current registration (specialist and general) under the National Scheme, as determined by the Medical Board of Australia.It is an express condition of employment for all people who are to perform roles with direct patient contact to be, and remain, vaccinated against the following infectious diseases during their employment: Diphtheria; Tetanus; Pertussis (Whooping Cough); Hepatitis B; Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR); Varicella (Chickenpox); Influenza.
