Goulburn now boasts a new state of the art Level 4 Emergency Department, a Level 4 ICU and new Operating Theatres.The Welcome ExperienceWhat you''ll be doingThe primary purpose of the position is to provide quality obstetric and gynaecological care to patients in a complex clinical environment. Unaccredited trainees will work under an appropriate level of supervision according to their level of competence to evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to female patients of all ages presenting in any condition or stage of pregnancy or the puerperium; and female patients presenting with illnesses, injuries and disorders of the gynaecological or genitourinary system.Unaccredited Trainees in Obstetrics and Gynaecology will work in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings including inpatient ward care, birthing unit, theatres and outpatients (e.g. antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology) clinics.Selection CriteriaMBBS or equivalent, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patientsDemonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertiseDemonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk managementDemonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skillsTo be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy and this includes any amendments made from time to time.Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self educationPrevious experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and trainingOccupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific DiseasesThis is a Category A position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015.
