We are committed to producing accessible food, supporting communities, and delivering strong economic results, all while prioritising sustainability to ensure a prosperous, healthy planet for future generations.The role:We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Electrical Fitter/Mechanic to join our team at Tassals Proserpine farm, located just a 35-minute drive from Cannonvale. This four-year apprenticeship will provide hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing state-of-the-art electrical equipment within our innovative aquaculture operations.Under the guidance of our experienced Maintenance Manager and skilled maintenance team, youll develop your trade skills while supporting critical tasks such as:Diagnosing and repairing electrical equipment.Responding to breakdowns and performing preventative maintenance.Ensuring all electrical equipment operates reliably with minimal downtime.This is a unique apprenticeship that offers variety, challenges, and the chance to work with cutting-edge technology in a dynamic industry.Second and third-year apprentices are encouraged to apply!Responsibilities:Assist in the maintenance, servicing, and repair of electrical systems.Learn to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.Follow safety protocols and contribute to a positive safety culture.Work alongside experienced tradespeople to develop technical skills.Complete required coursework and on-the-job training to achieve trade qualifications.Support the team in ensuring equipment reliability and operational efficiency.Role requirements:A strong electrical aptitude and passion for hands-on work.A safety-first mindset and commitment to zero-harm practices.Problem-solving skills and a keen interest in troubleshooting.Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.A current drivers licence and reliable transport (site access required).Completion of Year 12 or equivalent (preferred) with strong mathematical skills.Certificate II in Electrotechnology or a related field (desirable but not essential).Willingness to commit to a four-year apprenticeship.Role offerings:Our seafood isnt the only thing thats growing!
