As a receptionist working at Riverside Surgery you will be the first point of contact for the patients both on the phone and in the Practice.You will be an integral part of the team, providing a wide range of reception and administrative duties whilst working closely with both the surgery team and external agencies.Main duties of the jobYou will be responsible for managing the practices appointment system, processing both telephone and in person requests and enquiries. You will answer incoming calls, directing patients to the appropriate services or clinicians.The role will involve data entry including updating healthcare records, coding the clinical IT system, generating repeat prescriptions and registering new patients. The role also involves supporting the other administrative staff as well as the clinicians.About usWe are a well established, small, friendly practice with a list size of 2500 patients. Processing incoming phone calls and dealing appropriately with patient queries and requests2. Signposting patients to the most suitable service3. Maintaining the practice booking system4. Updating of patients health records including clinical filing and coding5. Processing prescription requests6. Maintain a tidy and organised reception area7.
