If so, this is your opportunity to live, work and play a short drive from stunning coastlines, scenic trails and the food and wine heartland of the west.Located in the picturesque south-west and Peel regions of Western Australia, South32 Worsley Alumina is on a journey to become the worlds leading Alumina producer where our 1500 workforce value the lifestyle that Worsley Alumina has to offer.Our integrated Bauxite Mine, Alumina Refinery and Port Operation is creating the essential products needed for a sustainable low carbon future.WHAT SOUTH32 OFFERS26 weeks full-paid, or 52 weeks half-paid parental leave for primary carersThe opportunity to become a shareholder of South32 through our share plans14% superannuation contributionsfrom the 1st of SeptemberAnnual short-term incentive bonus that recognises both your individual performance and the overall success of the businessABOUT THE ROLEThis role is a Permanent position on a day shift even time sportsmans roster, at our Boddington Bauxite Mine, which is located a short drive from the community of Boddington (10 minutes), Pinjarra (50 minutes) and the City of Mandurah (1 hour).This position is a drive in drive out role with no camp facilities, however buses do run from Mandurah and Armadale.As an Operator Senior Mine, you will be responsible for executing operation activities as directed by the Mine Services Supervisor and in accordance with BBM standards and operating procedures.Other key responsibilities include, but arent limited to:Execute development mining activities including operational tasks related to clearing, overburden stripping, ore bench preparation and rehabilitationWork with physical assets, plant, and equipment as defined by the operations standards and operating proceduresMaintain effective communication of equipment status, adhere to defined standard procedures, and apply safe work practicesEnsure timely and accurate reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazardsABOUT YOUYou will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:Prior experience in a similar operational role within the Mining IndustryDemonstrated contribution to a work team and leadership behavioursUnderstands and drives productivity without compromising safetyExperience with any of the following equipment or similar: Dozer (Cat D11 and/or Komatsu 475), Loader (Cat 992 and/or 993), Surface Miner (Vermeer T1255 and/or T1655Qualifications for this position are:Current C Class Drivers LicenceSouth32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
