The RoleAdbri Cement NT have an opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong decision-making ability to join ourDarwinteam.Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Packaged Products Operator is responsible for ensuring the site requirements are met to ensure that the plant and equipment at the work area is operated at its highest availability, safely and without environmental impact.We are looking for a versatile and reliable person who has the ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.As the successful candidate you will be responsible for the safe and efficient bagging, palletising and movement of cement material, operating fixed and mobile plant as well as regular maintenance of machinery.There is a possibility that this role may be extended after 12 months and a key element to thisfixed term contractis working together as an integral member of the team.ResponsibilitiesLiaise with Production Supervisor to ensure all customer orders are fulfilled and minimum stock levels are maintainedOperation of bagging machine, palletiser & forklift for the movement of goods to/from the work areaQuality Assurance and packaging of outgoing goodsLiaising with customers and external freight providersBasic maintenance of forklifts, plant, and equipment in the work areaLoad and unload trucks safely and accuratelyGeneral labouring dutiesEnsure safety, health and environment standards are maintainedFollow correct work procedures at all timesWhat you will need to succeedCurrent high risk forklift ticketAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentBasic Computer KnowledgeSelf-motivation and a willingness to learnAbility to communicate confidently with staff, customers and contractorsPrevious experience in a similar role desirableExperience with SAP desirableMechanical aptitudeOur businessAdbri Cement NT is the leading manufacturer of cement and lime to the Northern Territory mining, agriculture and construction industries.Adbri Cement NT is a fully owned entity of Adbri Limited; a constructions materials and industrial minerals manufacturing company who has been building a better Australia since 1882.
