We are hiring for multiple chef roles to bring your creative flair to our kitchen team. We currently have positions available for Demi Chef, Chef de Partie, and Head Chef across various Australian regional locations outside of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. As our next Demi Chef, you will: Ensure high-quality and well-presented food for guests, adhering to property standards and timely service. Oversee food preparation during non-service times, ensuring prep is stocked and service areas are efficient. Maintain strong product knowledge of menu items and seasonal ingredients. Provide support, leadership, and training to junior kitchen team members. Communicate effectively with management to uphold cuisine standards. Rotate food items to ensure freshness and keep storage areas clean and organized. Manage supplies and resources within par levels. Complete daily mise-en-place lists. Minimize wastage and train team members on efficient cooking techniques. Maintain kitchen equipment properly. Perform kitchen duties including cleaning and preparation for service. As our next Chef de Partie, you will: Ensure high-quality, well-presented food according to standards and timely service. Oversee training and development of junior kitchen staff. Manage food preparation, storage, and rotation. Stay updated with industry trends through networking. Promote a harmonious working environment and open communication. Oversee ordering, stock control, and wastage minimization. Maintain equipment and perform kitchen duties as required. As our next Head Chef, you will: Ensure high-quality food presentation and achieve profit targets. Demonstrate superior product knowledge and disseminate it within the team. Design seasonal menus and specials, and oversee banquet menus. Assist in cost management and stock takes. Oversee ordering and stock control, and minimize wastage. Maintain equipment and kitchen standards. Qualifications Leadership experience in a professional kitchen environment. Experience with dietary requirements and menu creation. Understanding of local health, safety, and compliance regulations, including HACCP. Leadership qualities focused on staff development and productivity. Food Safety Supervisor certification is preferred. Excellent organization and time management skills. Additional Information Demi Chef Base Hourly Rate: $28.87Chef de Partie Base Hourly Rate: $29.64Salary for various chef levels: $57,000 - $67,000 depending on working days and penalties as per industry award.
