We invite you to join us as we continue to explore and create better ways to educate, grounded in Christian values for the whole of life.Description:PURPOSE OF THE POSITIONThis position primarily supports the teaching and learning processes of students to help them achieve their God-given potential in all areas of learning, in collaboration with the Classroom and Learning Support Teacher.ResponsibilitiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support student learning and engagement, including responding to student needs as they arise and helping to maintain an organized, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.Support students with additional needs within the classroom, working individually or in small groups under the direction of the classroom teacher.Deliver Tier 2 (strategic) and Tier 3 (intensive) literacy and numeracy programs for small groups of students, under the direction of the Learning Support Teacher and where appropriate training has been provided.Run small groups according to Learning Support Assistant timetable, maintaining accurate records of attendance, lessons/lesson notes, and resources used.Provide regular feedback to the Learning Support Teacher and class teachers on small group progress.Complete and submit assessment data to the Learning Support Teacher regularly.Assist the Learning Support Teacher in maintaining Individual Student Programs.Deliver standardized testing and placement testing to individual students, where teacher qualifications are not required.Assist with supervision of Disability Adjustments/Disability Provisions for NAPLAN and other exams.Assist in supervising activities such as connect groups, chapel, extracurricular activities, and playground duties, as directed.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:Committed Christian actively involved in their local evangelical Christian church.Understanding of social/emotional skill development and strategies to embed within the educational process.Excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and proactive in learning new educational technologies.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Current Working with Children Check.ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:Discretion, confidentiality, honesty, and integrity.Positive, self-directed, enthusiastic, and highly motivated.Ability to follow policies and procedures regarding students exhibiting challenging behavior.Understanding of social/emotional development and embedding strategies.Adaptability, resilience, and a mindset for continuous personal improvement.Pedagogical expertise and commitment to professional development.Excellent interpersonal skills, teamwork, conflict resolution.Ability to manage work priorities calmly and methodically.WELL PARTNER WITH YOU ALONG THE WAYAs part of the St Philips team, we support your growth and development, preparing you to meet future challenges with confidence and ingenuity.Note: All SPCC employees must ensure a workplace free from sexual harassment, support Child Safe Standards, and comply with work health safety standards. #J-18808-Ljbffr
