The Client & RoleBased in Wyndham Vale in VIC, Funtastic Kidz is an established childcare organisation. Due to manpower issue, they are looking for a qualified Cook to join their team and prepare meals for the children and staff at the Centre.This is a full time role with an annual salary of of $75,000 - $77,000 plus superannuation.Duties Will IncludePlan and prepare healthy, balanced meals for children aged birth to five, that meet the dietary needs and preferences of the children, including any allergies or special dietary requirements, following the Munch and Move guidelinesMaintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, ensuring all food is stored, handled, and prepared according to Food Standards Australia and health and safety regulationsCreate and update menus regularly, incorporating a variety of foods to provide balanced nutrition, and cultural inclusionOrder and purchase food and kitchen supplies within budget, and keep an inventory of kitchen equipment and suppliesWork closely with staff to coordinate meal times and ensure that meals are served appropriatelyMaintain logs for compliance, cleaning duties, food purchases, and any other necessary records to ensure compliance with health codes and regulationsIdentify potential hazards and take prompt action to keep the kitchen safeRequirementsRelevant Certificate 4 qualifications in Commercial CookeryMinimum 18 months of experience as a commercial cookMinimum 18 months of experience assisting in menu planningMinimum 18 months of cooking experience in batch cooking, portion control, and safe food storage practicesMinimum 18 months experience in preparing meals that cater to various dietary restrictions, such as gluten-free, vegan, or nut-free options.Experience and knowledge in international cuisine is essentialVIC Working with Children clearancePassion for great food and presentationUnderstanding of, and commitment to, food safetyExperience in training kitchen staffAbility to work well under pressure #J-18808-Ljbffr
