About the business - 3 billion Global technology leader in the test & measurement and integrated communications space. - 13000 plus employees, 70 countries - Currently expanding the Australian footprint, as we prepare to support and lead delivery of high profile projects Technology offerings - Military communications across all domains - Wireless Communications - RF Test and Measurement, - Broadcast and Media, - Air Traffic Control - Cybersecurity and Network Technology.Your tasksAs part of a teamPerform preventative and corrective maintenance on communications equipment, antennas and associated cabling/feeder systems to the Lowest Replaceable Unit (LRU), alongside configuration and troubleshooting of related software across multiple platforms.Assist engineering teams in the successful setting to work of platforms, providing technical support and ensuring adherence to established procedures.Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders on technical maintenance and support activities to develop solutions and assist in resolving technical, maintenance and support requests and directing unresolved issues to the appropriate channels.Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and accurate documentation including post-activity reports, completion reports, system and sub-system specifications to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting efforts.Ensure strict adherence to approved work practices and all relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) procedures, with specific responsibility for ESD prevention, electronic equipment handling, and safe working at heights.Participate in and support the assembly, installation, test, and commissioning of systems and products.Reviewing and ensuring activities comply with R&S and customer plans, procedures, and regulations.Pro-actively manage customer expectations regarding incident and service request resolutions.Your QualificationsCertificate IV in Electrotechnology and Communications or equivalent qualification.Highly desirable to have previous experience with the repair and maintenance of communication systems, including but not limited toHF, VHF, UHF Radio SystemsSATCOM SystemsSecure Voice and Cryptographic SystemsIT Infrastructure, including network and desktop hardwareConfiguration and management of software applicationsHighly desirable to have previous experience working within DefenceHighly desirable to have previous experience working onboard Maritime PlatformsEligible to obtain Australian Citizenship.Eligible to obtain an Australian Security Clearance up to a Negative Vetting Level 1Eligible to access/handle export-controlled technology, data, and information.Current, unrestricted Australian drivers licenseAvailable to respond to short-notice on-demand domestic travel for service actions, with occasional international travel.Ability to support occasional work outside standard working hoursInterested?Please visit our careers page for all active vacancies //www.rohde-schwarz.com/au/about-australia/rohde-schwarz-australia/work-for-rs-australia_256213.htmlThough a security clearance is not mandatory for all positions, all offers of employment for this position are conditional on the candidate being able to meet Australian NV1 security clearance requirements which will form part of the assessment criteria of the role.
