This is more than just a job its an opportunity to play a key role in protecting lives, promoting health and wellness, and helping your local community enjoy a safe and welcoming aquatic space.As a Pool Attendant, your primary responsibility is the active supervision of pool users to prevent accidents and respond effectively to emergencies. You will play a vital role in maintaining public safety by enforcing pool rules, educating patrons about safe swimming practices, and remaining vigilant for any risks within the pool area. Youll also provide basic emergency care, initiate rescue efforts when needed, and communicate effectively with patrons and colleagues to ensure a friendly, respectful, and secure environment.Your role will also include hands-on operational duties such as monitoring and maintaining water quality, operating filtration and chemical dosing systems, maintaining amenities and grounds, and ensuring hygiene standards are met across the facility. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety are essential, as is the ability to work independently and communicate professionally. The role also involves administrative tasks such as taking bookings, and managing payments and reporting.To be successful in this role, youll need a current Pool Lifeguard Certificate (or the ability to obtain one before starting), First Aid and Resuscitation certifications, a current Working with Children Check, and a Class C NSW Drivers Licence. If youre physically fit, calm under pressure, and ready to contribute positively to a vibrant community hub, wed love to hear from you.
