As a niche GTO we specialise in providing apprentice/trainee labour to the plumbing industry whilst supporting our apprentices/trainees through to the successful completion of their qualification.As an Apprenticeship Field Officer/Mentor you will manage a caseload of apprentices/trainees from recruitment & on boarding, to providing mentoring support throughout the apprenticeship to ensure they remain in work and current with their training requirements.You will work with our Host Employers to ensure they have the apprentice labour they require, when they need it. You can think outside the box, help and be helped and ensure we achieve our goals.You want to work in a really fulfilling role that will provide challenge and diversity, with no two days the same.About the RoleKey responsibilities include:Mentor and support a caseload of plumbing industry apprentices and trainees to successfully complete their qualification.Promote and sell Plumbing Apprentices Queensland services to key stakeholders including Registered Training Organisations/TAFE, Secondary Schools, Careers Counsellors/Teachers, Parents, Unions and prospective Host Employers within South-East Queensland.Find people who want to work in the plumbing Industry, undertake recruitment and induction activities.Arrange work placements to ensure apprentices are exposed to all facets of the industry in line with their training plans.Develop relationships and rapport with a caseload of apprentices/trainees to ensure loyalty and commitment to PAQ, intervening early in the event of any issues to facilitate the continuity of the apprenticeship/traineeship.Grow the caseload, mentor apprentices to meet the requirements for successful completion of the apprenticeship.Attend to all administrative and compliance requirements in accordance with the GTO National Standards, PAQ procedures, DTET contractual requirements, workers compensation and other requirements.Applicants must:hold a drivers licence and be able to drivehold a Working with Childrens checkbe able to supply a National Police Clearance CertificateHighly DesirableTrade qualification or industry experience in Plumbing or RefrigerationCertificate IV in Occupational Health & SafetyWe will provide you with training.
