You might be on our team sooner than you can imagine.About the RoleWe are looking for Mental Health Trained Support Workers, available for clients based in our Adelaide suburbs.This role includes:Building and maintaining trusting and meaningful working relationships with our clients, their circle of support, and the community.Assisting our clients to achieve personal goals.Facilitating community inclusion and participation.Encouraging positive and socially appropriate behavior, and effectively managing challenging behaviors.Providing personal care where required and personalized support in accordance with the personal plan.Providing individual support services and direct care for people with mental illness and disabilities.Supporting the client in the community, including participation in programs.Transportation of clients to community engagements.Completion of reports including incident reports, progress notes, and shift handovers.Availability to work Monday to Friday or on a weekday rotating roster in 24/7 Supported Independent Living (SIL).Qualifications & ExperienceEssentialDisability Support Certificates (Cert III or above)Mental Health Training Certificates or equivalent skillsDCSI ClearanceNational Police ClearanceFirst Aid + CPRDriver''s LicenseManual HandlingWorking With Children ChecksNDIS Worker ChecksDesirableUnderstanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)Experience in the mental health industryComputer and administrative skillsPrevious work experience in disability or aged careTasks & ResponsibilitiesAssisting participants with daily activities and home-based tasks.Providing short-term interventions, psycho-education, and mentoring.Facilitating daily personal hygiene and care tasks.Assisting with community access and participation.Providing emotional support and encouragement.Facilitating communication and supporting participant decision-making.Implementing and monitoring behavior management strategies.Supporting learning, skill development, and employment opportunities.Transporting participants to appointments and social activities.Upholding the rights, independence, and dignity of all participants, ensuring confidentiality and respecting their choices.BenefitsDrive a company car while with clients, avoiding wear and tear on your own vehicle.Join a people-first organization.Enjoy a positive working environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
