Lady Northcote Discovery Campy are seeking a passionate Kitchen Assistant to join their team!About the CampThe YMCA Lady Northcote is a Recreation Camp located in Rowsley, just outside of Bacchus Marsh, 67 km west of Melbourne. The surrounding environment is rural. Lady Northcote accommodates a range of groups from 10 up to 250 people and operates all year. The Camp is owned by the State Government of Victoria and managed by YMCA Victoria, under a 21 year lease that concludes in the year 2041. The camps outdoor program takes place on the camp site, and the surrounding Brisbane Ranges using a variety of outdoor and adventure based activities.About the RoleAs a Kitchen Assistant, you will work within the catering team to ensure all campers receive delicious meals during their stay. You will be responsible for:Preparing and providing food for campers, including the coordination of special dietsAssembling and preparing ingredients as requiredApplying best practice as outlined in the camps food safety programUpholding the values of the Y at all timesThis is a casual role with an hourly rate of $30.13 + Super.About YouYou are a motivated individual with a commitment to perform to their best. You possess problem-solving skills and can apply initiative to work unsupervised, if required.
