About the role CasualThe Child and Youth Support Worker provides 24/7 care to children and young people under the guardianship of the Department of Child Protection. Duties include creating a safe, nurturing environment, building trust-based relationships, supporting daily routines and life skills, and collaborating with a care team to meet each child''s individual needs.Key responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:Building trust-based, trauma-informed relationships with children and young people.Supporting daily routines, personal care, and life skills development.Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and clean household environment.Collaborating with the care team and external stakeholders to meet individual care needs.About you:Youre compassionate, resilient, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to supporting vulnerable young people. You thrive in team environments, creating safe, nurturing spaces for children to heal and grow. Your approach is empathetic and trauma-informed, with a focus on meeting each childs unique needs.You will also have the following skills and experience:A minimum of Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention, Youth Work, or Disability.Experience working with vulnerable and at-risk children, young people and adults with special needs, disability and/or challenging behaviours.Demonstrated ability and experience to work within a team environment.About us:Baptist Care SA works collaboratively with South Australians from all walks of life.
