Employees ideally live within an hours drive of Collie.This is a Dayshift role working Monday-Thursday 10-hour days. There may be requirements to provide night shift outage support, and the opportunity to complete additional shifts, so flexibility is crucial to the successful applicant.Reporting to theMaintenance Supervisorasa Boilermaker/Welder the purpose of this role is to safely execute maintenance work within an operation area as per SAP processes, maintenance schedules and work instructions as directed by the Supervisor Maintenance. This role will be offered on aPermanent basis.Key responsibilities are, but not limited to:Demonstrate commitment and conformance to safe work practices and proceduresEnsure compliance to the SAP process for work execution and capture related transactional data into the SAP systemExecute work orders as per schedule and relevant work instructions as directed by the supervisor maintenance or superintendent maintenanceEnsure work is done to the highest standard and history is recorded in SAP notifications for future referenceProvide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of issues affecting equipment reliabilityEnsure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning processActively support and apply the companys continuous improvement principles to minimize cost, maximize productionMaintain their welding qualifications as per the Worsley Standard and as per the area specific needsABOUT YOUBoilermaker Welder Trade certification, Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication Trade (Boilermaking/Welding) with minimum 2 years experience in the resource sector.Demonstrated written and oral English language proficiencySAP data entry, work order processing and warehouse functions knowledgeHigh Risk Work License for Forklift and Basic RiggingElevated Work PlatformAccredited Working in Confined Space TrainingHR Drivers Licence (Preferred, but not essential)C2 or above High Risk Crane Licence (optional)OUR CULTUREAt South32, our people are fundamental to our success.
