In this vital role, you''ll create a safe and welcoming environment while helping to facilitate positive contact arrangements.We offerpart-time and casual positionswith flexible schedulingthough availability for alternate weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 8:30am5pm) and some evening shifts (10am6pm) is essential to meet service needs. Weekend shifts come withgenerous penalty rates.If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference for children and families during times of transition, we encourage you to apply.Additionally, you will:Apply theoretical models of supportive human interaction, developmental stages of children, conflict resolution, and other relevant frameworks.Undertaking assessment and intake processes, including parent interviews, case planning and reviews.Organising safe and appropriate activities for children to maximise parent/child.Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for parents and children accessing CCS.About YouYou are a compassionate, reliable, and child-focused professional who thrives in supportive environments that prioritise the wellbeing of children and families. Your strong interpersonal skills and empathy enable you to build trust quickly, and you are comfortable working flexibly, including on weekends and evenings, to meet the needs of families. You demonstrate sound judgement, maintain professional boundaries, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team to create safe, positive experiences for children during times of transition.Additionally, you have:A Bachelor degree in the social or behavioural sciences is an essential requirement and preferrable with a focus on child development.Demonstrated experience working with children and their parents/carers and theoretical knowledge of the issues regarding child development, abuse and/or neglect.Experience working with people in crisis and/or parents in conflict.Knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation and regulations relating to family law and/or childrens contact issues is also required.Ability to work on weekend and evening shiftsPossession of, or willingness to obtain, a First Aid/CPR Certificate.We Can Offer YouAt RAQ, we believe in supporting our people both inside and outside the workplace.
