Hamilton Island is seeking a proactive and dedicated Return to Work Coordinator to join our multidisciplinary team, responsible for the leadership and execution of Hamilton Island Enterprises'' injury management and workers compensation portfolio.Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you''ll support the health, wellbeing and recovery of our team members by coordinating injury management processes, overseeing return-to-work plans, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.Why you''ll love working with usLive on Island - immerse yourself in the unique island lifestyle with this live-on-island opportunity plus save money with subsidised sole use accommodationBe a part of a supportive and passionate team - Join a collaborative People, Culture & Development team that celebrate wins and live our values every dayMake a meaningful impact - Support the recovery and wellbeing of employees across a diverse range of departments and rolesAccess exclusive benefits - Enjoy discounts on dining, island activities, health & travel insurance, and Family & Friends ratesYour responsibilities will include:Injury & Illness ManagementLead the return-to-work process for employees with work-related injuries or illnessesDevelop and manage suitable duties plans in consultation with WH&S, treating practitioners and department managersCoordinate and monitor the entire injury management process including early intervention programs, rehabilitation processes, RTW plans and Workers Compensation claims from commencement to resolutionStakeholder Engagement and ComplianceLiaise with healthcare providers, insurers, and internal teams to ensure smooth and compliant injury managementEnsure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements relating to workers compensation and injury managementAdvisory and Strategic SupportProvide expert advice and guidance to managers on injury prevention, early intervention strategies and claims managementParter closely with HR Business Partners, Recruitment, Staff Accommodation, Activities, Learning & Development and WH&S to offer coordinated wellbeing supportWellbeing and Employee SupportManage Employee Assistant Programs (EAP) and Health Monitoring initiativesConduct welfare checks, departmental visits, and proactively identify areas requiring further action or supportAbout YouYoure an experienced return-to-work professional who brings empathy, resilience and strong communication to everything you do. Youre confident working with a range of stakeholders and have a proven ability to manage complex injury or illness cases with professionalism and care.To be successful, you will need:35 years experience in Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety or Counselling (Essential)Minimum 3 years experience with end-to-end claims and injury management (Essential)Experience managing both work and non-work-related injuries or illnesses (Essential)Return to Work Coordination Certificate for QLD and NSW (Desirable)Strong communication skills and ability to engage across all levels of our businessIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsA high level of confidentiality, resilience and sound judgementAbout UsHamilton Island is Australias tropical island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef - easily accessed via direct flights or ferry transfers.
