This role has the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of Aboriginal children and families involved in the early stages of the child protection system.This is a fixed-term opportunity in our Family Violence program.Case Managers are responsible for providing casework and case management services for Aboriginal children in out-of-home care, employing a trauma-informed approach.The Intensive Family Services Case Worker will work within the Family Services team to support Aboriginal people and their families who are referred to the Family Services program.The Lakidjeka Aboriginal Child Specialist Advice Support Service (ACSASS) provides specialist advice and case consultation to Child Protection about culturally appropriate intervention.We are looking for an experienced case manager to join our Family Services team who is committed to making a difference in the community.Responsibilities include working with Koori young people aged 13-18 years in the Ovens Murray region and supporting Aboriginal children''s education through tutoring, cultural advocacy, and school engagement.The Manager will lead VACCAs research team, manage projects, align with Indigenous methods, and oversee evaluations and stakeholders.This position is responsible for the strategic and operational oversight of the Family Services programs, managing staff, budget, external partnerships, compliance, and administration.This position is part of the Ovens Murray VACCA Client Services Leadership Group and will provide leadership, direction, and support to VACCA staff employed within these programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
