Attractive rate based on skills & experienceDrivetrain currently have an exciting opportunity in our Kalgoorlie facility for a driven and experienced Service Technician to join the team on a full-time basis. This role is required to provide excellence in service support for Drivetrains customer base both in the field and workshop. At the same time, being responsive to the needs of customers and complete service responsibilities with requisite care, skill, diligence and knowledge.We are looking for someone who can assist Drivetrain Australia Pty Ltd to build its profile providing prompt courteous service, and assist in the development of apprentices and less experienced tradespeople as a preferred provider of service support to customers.This role will report to the Branch Manager and collaborates closely with the workshop team.What We OfferIn addition to working in a progressive and supportive team environment, our Kalgoorlie employees can enjoy the following benefits:Flat rates up to $80 per hour.47.5 Hour week Monday Friday. Additional hours available on weekends.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, remove, overhaul, maintain, repair, test, calibrate and commission mechanical equipment and systems to conform to specifications, regulations and safety requirements for all applications.Carry out work in punctual, efficient and timely manner with regard to the commercial outcomes or every job.Collaborate with mechanical and electrical tradespersons and apprentices to achieve company objectives as defined by the Project Manager from time to time.Read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and instrument diagrams, drawings and specifications to accurately determine job requirements.Assist in the planning and the execution of mechanical work and inspection, test and calibration activities.About YouEssential Knowledge, Skills and Experience:Mechanical trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Plant Mechanic, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic).Excellent diagnostics, repairing and rebuilding skills.Demonstrated ability to work on Transmissions, Torque Converters, Axles, Differentials and Brake assemblies.Current Drivers licence and own transport.Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety regulations.Ability to work in a team environment to obtain a positive outcome for clients and new customers.Excellent communication skills and presentation.Willingness to learn and engage in customer requirements inductions etc.Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experiences:Experience with Dana, or other Axle and Transmission product brands.Experience with CAT, EMD or other large engine equipment.QA, Risk assessment and OHS documentation experience.Experience in the maintenance repair and overhaul of axles and transmissions.About UsDrivetrain Australia, a subsidiary of Engenco Limited, supplies world-class equipment, powertrain components, servicing and onsite support to some of the worlds most demanding sectors.With over 35 years of experience, Drivetrain is a leading supplier of technical products, services and engineering solutions for the mining, energy, transport, rail and defence industries.
